Notices to Mariners:

I am currently working on a new page which will offer the official notices to mariners published by the hydrographic offices, but also and above all, any noted changes to published pilots, as well as points of interest. All supplied by a leading publisher of pilots and the members of my sailing club. Early stages yet, but now on-line! CLICK HERE!

Leds

HEre's a good source of sea-proof LEDs for all lighting needs aboard - made by people who understand the ocean. Buy in Fiji - you know it makes sense! Bebi now!

Regulations:

Don't forget that there are newish regulations as of 2005 regarding crew lists and chartering in Croatia. The regulations are available here. For instance, the maximum number of crew allowed per annum is twice the yacht's capacity + 30%. Hence a boat authorised to carry 8 can place 21 people on its list for Croatia.

If you have any suggestions to make about the site, or requests about sailing in Dalmatia generally,

Links to sailing pages:

... but first, do take a note of the following link. If you love the sea and sailing, like me you must feel an affinity for the albatross, that extraordinary oceangoing king of the seas. Well, it's heading for extinction. These splendid birds are being unintentionally drowned in large numbers by "longline" fishing boats. Longlining is the single greatest threat to the world's seabirds. Much of it is carried out by "pirate" fishing boats.
See
HERE how you can help.

Please do what you can to help save the albatross before it's too late!!
